Kathryn Babiarz

Client Coordinator

Kathryn Babiarz joined Melior in November of 2021 as the Client Coordinator. Prior to joining Melior, Kathryn graduated from the University of Kentucky with her master’s degree in Veterinary Science, as well as a graduate certificate in Technical and Professional Writing. Kathryn also attended the University of Delaware, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Biosciences.

Throughout her academic career, Kathryn’s research was primarily equine focused. While attending the University of Delaware, her projects centered around nutrition with an equine gut microbiome focus. In 2019, Kathryn joined the equine musculoskeletal science lab, part of the Gluck Equine Research Center at the University of Kentucky. There, she studied the adaptation of equine proximal sesamoid bones to high-speed exercise in racing thoroughbreds through the use of advanced imaging modalities including computed tomography and micro-computed tomography.

Kathryn is excited to be working directly with the clients as the client coordinator for Melior, as well as learning about new projects, and opportunities.  Learning about complex problems that need solving is one of her favorite parts of the scientific process.

In her free time, Kathryn enjoys volunteering at the local animal shelter, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
